Entrepreneur's Mobile Wash

Bryson Underwood, a 13-year-old entrepreneur, runs the increasingly popular ‘Island Shine Mobile Wash’, a washing service for golf carts and trucks. The need for consistent cart cleans in the sandy beach setting birthed this inventive venture two years ago.

Supported by a team of assistant washers and balancing schoolwork, he manages his business, focusing on providing competitively-priced, top-quality service. His entrepreneurial spirit, fostered by his parents, fuels his ambition to evolve ‘Island Shine Mobile Wash’ into a national franchise.

Underwood’s entrepreneurial journey launched in the summer of 2023 when washing his parents’ vehicles morphed from a hobby into a lucrative business concept. By 2024, his parents, Lindsey and Marcus Underwood, helped this idea flourish into an enterprise named ‘Bryson’s Auto Detail’.

More than a pipe dream, the teen’s initiative proved productive with the team serving over 50 customers at Quarter 1 and finishing the year with a customer base of 250. His journey underscores how youthful passion, coupled with hard work and support, can transform into a prosperous business endeavour.

His folks not only lend moral support but also furnish the necessary resources required for building the business. Managing his transportation needs, they are his rock, helping him live up to his commitments. He appreciates the autonomy that comes with being his own boss and relishes setting his own prices and work schedule.

Chief among his future plans is expanding his reach to Port Aransas and Corpus Christi. Despite his unsureness about a lasting future in the vehicle cleaning industry, he aspires to persist in his entrepreneurial pursuits.

His confident maneuvering of social media to advertise his services has won his parents’ admiration. The lessons in responsibility, commitment, and hard work he’s learned from running his own business has made his parents proud. His next move? Aiming to expand his business to meet the growing demand for his services, ensuring along the way that his work ethic is reflected in his future employees.

To avail of Bryson’s services, customers can simply text WASH to 361-428-0001. His journey is testament to the fact that age is no barrier to entrepreneurial success.
