Discord plans to intensify user interaction by incorporating games and partner apps via its Activities feature. Aimed at boosting user retention and active participation, these updates are expected to attract larger gaming communities. Developers will now have the ability to tailor apps and games for use within Discord’s chat, fostering a more interactive platform.

Starting from 18th March, each developer affiliated with Discord will be able to use the new Embedded App SDK. This advancement will revolutionize user interaction with apps and games by offering a more fluid and engaging interface. Discord’s ambition is to serve as a hub where developers can design, promote and capitalize on their creations, reaching a global audience.

In addition to this, Discord plans to reintroduce app pitches, potentially providing developers with up to $30,000 in funding. This effort aims to stimulate innovation among developers, enabling them to bring their initial ideas to reality.

A forthcoming feature, launching on March 18, allows users to add apps to their Discord accounts. This feature aims to augment user interaction and improve the overall user experience by allowing seamless integration of apps into the platform. Users will be able to access their apps across various servers, promoting unity within the Discord community.

To hasten growth and expansion, Discord has added themed avatars, user profile effects and streamlined its interface, making it easier to navigate. The platform has also added features like virtual spaces for events, private chat rooms, and a variety of new emojis. Discord expects that these improvements will attract a larger user base, enabling them to expedite their growth.

The company is also focusing on reinforcing its workforce, by refining support systems and enhancing their technical teams, to ensure a smooth experience for users. As part of this initiative, Discord is actively seeking creative individuals to join their team in both technical and administrative roles.
